This evening we had a lot in common. I was missing my wife who is in Dehera. Stan was missing his wife who is in Bangaluru and Vims was missing his wife who had just flown out of amchi mumbai. We missed Berhampur. We missed SVC. We missed the cobra cricket club. We missed the Ganjam club. We missed Girija Restaurant. We missed friends.We strolled down the Worli sea face. We refreshed our memories of the golden age of our lives. We spoke over a wide range of topics from terrorism to tandoori chicken and from Satyajit Ray to Steel Plants in green fields.
We wished Henry a happy birthday. We spoke to Venu. We spoke to Nanda. We spoke to Sanyasi. We spoke to shantilata. And over dinner at a shopping mall we spoke to Faiyaz. As usual he had the last word. This is what he had to say to me, " Arun, zara stanely ko apne hathon sey khana khilana. Pune jaane ke baad ab usey apney hathoon sey khaane mein takleef hotee hai."
I seriously thought of taking "care" of stanely as suggested by faiyaz.
But now that Dostana is such a hit , I did not want heads turn towards our table!
