The magical, masti of Mumbai monsoons
For some the bolg is a past-time but for some it is a passion.
Vims clearly comes in the second category. Whenever the blog flounders we often discuss ways and means of reviving it without sounding desperate about it.
Nargis is back but strangely silent. Should we talk to Tas? What about FAB? Isn't the enthu of previous years missing? Shall we send an SMS to Sarita? Where has Reena disappeared? What about the princess of Sangli? Does she prefer pythons more than the soul mates of the SVC era? Louis has become more active but what about Sir Stanely? Where is he? What about that bold and beautiful girl from the US of A? Is Seeta's enthusiasm tapering off? Even Naresh, instead of responding on the blog sends mails reminding us of Mumbai's tryst with doomsday.
It was in one such wet monsoon afternoon that Vims decided to send me some photographs challenging me to write something creative about it. This was precisely how the blog "Mumbai ki baarish aur ek cutting chai" was born. There was also this photograph that Vims had mailed to me. I found this very creative but was unable to give additional life to it with words. So I simply decided to upload it. Now you decide what it is........
Tears from heaven or drops of pearls on the glass of time.....

It is a lovely photograph Vims. Looks like it was taken while sipping cutting chai in your car
Does it rain on this blog? Even that can't explain the absence of some of its members
NRK
U r right ! Windscreen sans wiper effect !
LOL, I've heard of missing holograms in Amchi Mumbai----now it looks like even wipers are getting stolen!!
BTW, grr88 pic Vims!
Naresh and Venu.....
The wipers are very much there!This is a picture of the sweating windscreen just above the area where the wipers don't reach. Put on your reading glasses and see...;-}
And Arun...what do you mean 'strangely silent'? Compared to the rest of the silent crowd I feel like a loud ispeaker :-}
Arun, I was never away --I keep tiptoeing in and out of the blog not to disturb the fragility of the
works of arts on display --like th ephemeral raindrops and the lingering poetic trance that defines writings of stalwarts like yourself, Nargis, our very own James Joycee Amchi Alpana, our footloose romantics -Seetha, Omkar, Ashu, Naresh --and our keen twitter ex-Petrogradsky Petrovsky AKA Venu ..
Due to work pressure, kabhi kabhi yeh lagta hai ki karvaan gujar gaya, gubaar dekhte rahen....
Sir Stanely,
U don't miss us because you tiptoe in and out but we miss you because we are not sensitive enough to hear your footfalls. Cheers.
