Dear Friends

Here is the song uploaded on youtube `Marathi Asmita' that Amitabh Bacchan spoke about in his speech on sunday at the closing function of the 83rd Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held in Pune on SP College grounds - watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nbo1PgHgPvc
It is sung by various artists of Maharashtra and even if you don't know the language you can easily understand the words. It is simple and sweet. It is directed by noted music director Kaushal Inamdar
Do see it, you will like it
There were around 60,000 people who attended the closing ceremony. Everyone's booing CM Ashok Chavan for not attending this function because a couple of days earlier he was apparently pulled up by the High Command in Delhi for sharing the dias with Amitabh during the phase 2 of the Sea Link inauguration in Mumbai. Indeed politics has reached its nadir. I condemn the Congress party for humiliating the most sought after icon of India on matters so petty. Amitabh received a thunderous applause from Puneites - the turnout (from all over Maharashtra) once again proved that literature in Maharashtra is deeply respected.
cheers and warm rgds
