Encroaching their Habitat...

This is at Gir (Gujarat). While the lions are quite safe and protected in this sanctuary i wonder if such human interaction with them will, over the years, have any negative effect in the evolution of the species and their role as predators...

Pretty Expensive to maintain Lions these days - Male Lions need about 15 pounds of meat each day, and Females eat about 11 pounds.

One thing is for sure.If those Gir lions interact with SVCians they will evolve into shayars/writers etc. of the first order and may even start their own blog!:):)

Vimal for all that he can manage, a male Simba would be the best companion for his Boxer ' Sera '.

Its very affectionate and gives a seductive smooch on your face once you are ushered into VIM's drawing room, but I shudder to look into its gleaming eyes which watch you with a piercing gaze and the 'pout' with two pincer like canines sticking out.
