It's been awhile since I have blogged . Been a cricketeer during my young days Captained District, College , and then played for University,played in lot of tournaments in Orissa, Andhra, Kolkata and onto 1st Division in Kolkata , hence an apt time to pay tribute to the greatest legend , gentleman , very humane, extraordinarily stylish et al..
But the secret is I have been and always am a die hard footballer ... had played the same innnings in football too .
Mom had kept this newspaper cutting , and my wife unearthed it 3 days ago ... Well Mom knew how priced this pic is ...she was very futuristic .... Stan, congrats , store this in your desktop.

Many moons ago, a cherished evening to remember, we had just won the Sports Quiz, and Pataudi presented to us --in an evening full of cricket nostalgia --Gavaskar regaled us about his stories about Vishvanth; Pataudi told us stories about Jaisimha and Durrani --and the DI Club spirits did the rest to make for a joyous occasion ..
