This is Vishnu here . The little boy who was always bullied in the class and outside the class until he was out of school in 1976. Currently in Delhi working with Prometric and reachable at + 91 98111 01565.
I sincerely thank Vimal to bring us all togather in this forum. His enthusiasm and committment has ensured that each one of us are taken back to the days where we were nurthured to be what we are now.
It was after 32 years , did get an opportunity to be in the school where i had spent 12 years . Just to get into the nostalgia of school, did shoot pix, and here is it for you to be in that crowd.
To make more space for the students to play, St Vincents Statue, which used to standout in the grounds has been removed. I was missing that.....

Vishnu first of all welcome to the blog. Secondly your entry has been a bit like Amitabh Bachhan's entry in films- spectacular. I am sure you will share many more pictures of our dear school.
You also broke my heart when you informed that the statue has now been removed. In my first blog I had said that I will never visit St.Vincents because my sweet and romantic memories will be jolted by modern day realities. Just imagine! removing that statue for creating more space. A Ridiculous, Absurd, Stupid decision. But then who am I to say what is good and what is bad.We probably are now graduating to the category of old sentimental fools.
Great to have you on the Blog, Vishnu! Welcome!! I can imagine the efforts that you have put in to photograph our school (from various angles)so that we all can have a good look.
Feel very sorry about the statue. I wish it is reinstalled...
Anyway, hope you'll blog regularly and post more photographs.
Great Pictures Vishnu!
The Missing Statue of Liberty?
Visited St Vincent’s along with Nargis last week.
Met the present Principal a wonderful person and spent over an hour. Incidentally the current set up does not belong to The Daughters of Charity Organization hence they have taken the Liberty and Taken out the Liberty!
Certainly not because Bachey Space aur Liberty Maange More!
Different School of Thought???
Vishnu,
Welcome. I take it must have been on a regular day, eh? What have they done to the vendors? Ah, those 15 paise "doodh malais", with elaichi at the opposite end of the stick. Rmbr. that ice-cream guy, who was blind in one eye?
Man, this is getting too senti folks.
Thanks for the pics Visnu.
Omkar, I was very fond of the doodh malais too. Had forgotten about them till today! I remember once it melted and fell down and I was pretty upset :(
