Great to have you on the Blog, Shankar. Keep posting regularly. But then, Blogging rules have now changed. You will have to post your photograph within a week or else the BlogMaster will automatically put on on hold ;-)

Hey Shankar,

Welcome bud!

Do you remember, on a trip to Tara Tarini (don't rmbr. how it came about), you and I were the only SVCians and hence hung out together, perhaps the only time, what with not being classmates.

We had a great time, climbing those 1000 steps, feeding those "hanu mankadas" on our way up.

Arun, how do you know Tamil? Are you a linguist?? English, Hindi, Oriya, Tamil; what next?

i was semi-fluent in tamil thanks to the Krishnan's (that's shankar's surname). my love for south indian food which i have described in salad days is also partly due to his mother's wonderful idli/dosa and sambhar. i speak broken bengali too my kannada is however limited to four to five phrases which i picked from my last posting in bellary.
