new kids on the blog

hi everyone, everytime the blog flounders and falls into the doldrums ( courtesy all us lazy scribes), there emerges a saviour - brought magically out of the hat by master conjurer vimal. and so it was this time also when i revisited blogland ( thanx 2 frantic smses from vimal). the blog was breathing again and how- there were photos galore, tales from new people leading us down memory lane. And a very articulate new kid on the blog with perspicuity and a memory that astounds me ( i am quite absent minded ). kid literally as he is the son of our hindi teacher - sorry but we must have crossed paths - i came 2 svc in the 5th and dont remember you - i think u must have left 4 cuttack by then. by the look of things however he is obviously living up 2 his mothers genes - i love ur posts arun - - u obviously remember things down 2 the last detail and then bring them out in language that is a treat 2 read. dharma came alive in an instant - i had all but forgotten the man and his name. methinks u should stop SAIl- ing and take a year long sabbathical 2 write - a book perhaps? or i might b tempted 2 steal a few pages off our blog and publish them as mine ( ok, ok all u guys - i can hear the howls of protest!)

i loved languages but veered offf towards science and later medicine. a hard journey which reins in imagination and doesnt tolerate day- dreaming. somewhere along the way, language, memory a nd the wonderful poetry taught 2 us, resonant with mystery, drama romance and joy got lost ( remember panorama? please can anyone teaching lit dredge up a copy 4 me?). but after reading posts on our blog i marvel at the gift our teachers gave us- we r men and women still capable of putting thoughts on paper so beautifully. no wonder we have 2 editors amonst us.we also share a whole lot of memories and values - and all because of a small convent in the backwaters of orissa.

it was strange 2 read abt the journey of a few intrepid spanish founding sisters ( posted by vimal- this guy is a nut but amazing how he gets hold of people and things) who ventured into the hinterland of orissa ( god where is this place ?) - all 4 the love of a benevolent god. so the situation in orissa rgt now saddens me - i hope it does not touch and destroy insts like our school, the orphanage and old peoples home in gpoalpur .

my husband has a suggestion- he is ready 2 organise a small reunion in panhala ( a hill station near us ) - he thinks we ought 2 meet . so pl let me know if students in maharashtra r interested. we cant keep meeting just like this. and it was grt seeing chumki on the blog - ashu's net is down but i bet she wil go 2 a net cafe and have a look at her long- lost friend. am enclosing a video of my daughter on our recent trip 2 pondicherry.

The Music Video appears to be different and is awesome!
Ashu will be glad to see Chumki on the blog.
BTW did you see Uncle/Aunty/Ashu and your snap posted a while ago?
Surprisingly neither Ashu nor You commented - Wondering was it because you folks could not recognise your cute own selves?

we did recognise our own selves but ashu's server is down and i was a tad busy. plus we can hardly comment on ourselves u know - subject of objectivity.
