I very clearly remember that there was a girl in my class in Std II and her name was Bonny and the fact that she was in this photograph. Apart from from that I remember nothing. Years rolled by till a few years back Smita moved over to Mumbai and during a casual discussion she asked me "You remember Banhi?" "Banhi, who? no idea" is what i remember telling her. "She was in our school for a brief period so probably difficult..." Smita mumbled and kept quiet. I am so happy that our topic of discussion did not change at that point of time... a few seconds later she asked "you remember Bonny?" "Yes! Bonny, second std. you know her? where is she?" "in Mumbai" Smita replied. "We bumped into each other one day. Actually her name is Banhi but in school they called her Bonny"Eventually, when we met at Banhi's place my daughter Shivani informed me that she knew Banhi's kids as they were in the same school...
It was great meeting Banhi and her family. Banhi could not place me but Smita and SVC being a common factor, not remembering someone did not matter at all. Banhi has promised to Blog so I will leave it to her to post a family photograph and tell us all as to where she vanished after std II. Must thank Smita for this. God too played a role...
Give her a warm welcome, folks!

Hi Bonny, A big warm hug and welcome to you. Blog fast. We'd like to hear all about you. Smita, where have you disappeared these days? Get cracking and shoot out your comments at least. We miss you.
Welcome aboard Boney Madam!!!
Apologies if we have anyway offended you. Seniors have this lousy tendency to rag, without realising that ragging has been banned!
Sure enough, There's a brown Girl in the Ring - Tra la la la la!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for the warm welcome!Ultimately Vimal had to disclose my identity[REALLY FAST!].But i was really really enjoying every bit of the guess work and comments u all made(including the lyrics!!)
Anyway, the world is a small place, and Vimal is knitting us closely together!
Im eager to know more about u all so we'll be in touch.
Hi Banhi --welcome to this growing family of svc-ians.
Do you recall --I was the first to pass out in 1972 --so I was there during 1962-72--voice from the past - a differnt era from a different century......
Hi Banhi
Welcome to the blog ! But retrospect down the years you have blo(g)cked my face , right behind !
Vimal feels I have shied away ! Or rather must have been shooed away while the photo session is on !
Mumbaikars are increasing on the blog ! Hence good signs of incessant rain - ( I mean blogging !)
Hi Banhi.....
So at last the mystery has been unfolded:-}Welcome to the gang! Well, I guess I should introduce myself as Faiyaz's sis and Stanley's classmate.....(wonder why he keeps harping on a certain fact...)Vim, I think you better award Stan a medal that says 'I was the first to pass out'!
Hi Stanley Davis, Read in GK books that Venera 8 was launched in Venus. Bhimrao Kesarhar won silver medal in javelin. India & Bangladesh signed friendship treaty. ALL THESE IN 1972.Adding up your SVCian record of 1972. Now I will remember. Well, keep writing.
Hi Tasneem, Sorry for the late reciprocation, though you were the first to welcome me to the Blog .So you have become "ghar ke jaise." But that does not mean " ghar ke murgi dal barabar". Same over here, I have lost track of Smita too. Hopefully Id will be observed tomorrow. Wishing you and your family Happy Id.
Thnx bonny Banhi.
Hello Naresh. Yes,down the years I had blo(g)cked your face in the photo. But somehow you have managed to tick your nose out(is that you on the R behind me).If yes, thats the only identification for me to recognise you!!!!Vimal,Ill give you an SOS call then.

As you come up on September 12th , I am with my family , incidentally all of us , when I purchased a car. I am the 'white crowning glory'
Competing with VIM - its not just salt and pepper, both us are totally salt on our pate !
Hello Faiyaz, Theres a great similiarity with your younger son and my son--- the facial contour and specially the hair. And ofcourse the slim physical structure. One more thing I would like to complimennt!!You have a marvellous way of expressing your views.
Banhi, post a family picture...
Banhi, please post soon I am anxious, if not I will have to post my sons!
This reminds me of an Ad pertaining to Diamonds that says -
Buy her a diamond, before someone else does!
