Technical Help

OK. I have now worked out how to post these blogs. I have also worked out how to post a comment. What I am confused about is replying to the comments......Help !! Being in finance, technology always beats me.
Thanks for the all the welcome messages.
Stanley....still miss the wonderful dinners and breakfasts Pappa used to make.....and at all those odd hours.....sometimes maybe 1 in the morning !
And Shanta, I did read your comments on Arun's blog regarding our Mango expeditions......it was not only for the mangoes did we guys get into trouble.....there were a host of other things for which our parents were regularly called to the school.....Paul had managed to get a friend from Khalikote College to act as his father on a number of occassions !! And yes, it is Mona Dash....your memory is really good to remember people 6 years our junior !!

Hi Kausty...

If finance mein technology can afford to beat you, just imagine how 'beaten' up we domesticated engineers are....:-} yet tadka budka karke we've somehow managed out here. So I bet with some practice you can manage to outshine us. If you know how to post comments, replying to comments is the same :-} And oh...WELCOME ! Lovely to see so many newcomers joining in....

Wow! it seems the tradition of "stealing" fruits is a long one in SVC. Regarding mangoes once five of our class (VII std. in 1972)were sent back from school to get a letter signed by parents that their son would not steal mangoes.

All I can say is that we learned how to forge signatures at an early age!

Hi Kausty,

Which Paul are you referring to?
Is it Paul Sahu?
Zingadi mein kahhi kabhie Gadhe ko bhi Baap banana padta hain!
I was at Khalikote College, beginning to wonder if that Baap was me?
I used to do a lot of Guest Appearances during those days - Without charging a Penny!

Yes Faiyaz,
It is Paul Sahu I am talking about....and most likely you must have been his guest father on a few occassions !! I should check this with Paul...

Hi Arun,
With the Mangoes dangling tantalisingly, I guess every guy in SVC must be itching to get thier hands on tham.....and forging signatures.....lucky parents, never used it on thier cheque book

Kausty, I was Senior to you, Paul and his elder brother Samuel as well.

Baap re Baap -yeh ho kya raha hai --I thought we were talking about the SVC-ians of our era --"le generation perdue" or The Lost Generation.................

Not about Daddy-impersonations.

Talking about Khallikote College, I was once physically hijacked to help write an English exam for an Union Leader -the subject was 'Thirty-nine Steps' and I was given the novel and the question paper and the Invigilator politely enquired if I was comfortable and did I need any refreshments?

The said examinee is a lawyer in Berhampur now.....

Warm welcome Kaustubh!

Faiyaz,
You impersonating as someone's dad reminds me of old Hindi movies where comedians were a staple, and would utter nonsensical dialogues like "dooor ke rishtey mein baap lagta hai" or "sagaa baap nahin, cousin baap hai"! Man, I rmbr. one - Rajendranath walking upto the heroine and saying "May I oblige you?".
