Another Tiger !

Guess who that little boy is? Of course here he's only shooting at that harmless tiger. But instead of re'tyre'ing, soon he'll be joining the Khidki wallah Bill Gates' Company. People who know him are not eligible to answer :-} Btw...that painting is by Mua....not the Berhampuria sweet but the French Yours truly ;-}

Your son?? Congrats.
Where in MS is he being posted in?

Nice painting, Nargis...yours is "that immortal hand that has framed the tiger's fearful symmetry". Seems like William Blake was referring to your hand when he wrote his poem Tiger, tiger burning bright.
btw you siblings seems to be in a ferocious tigery (for want of a better description!) these days.

Tas, it's Seattle very close from where you stay - The same distance as Berhampur to Cuttack!
Roshan that's his name wanted to be posted in Orissa and requested Bill - Magar Bill Hain key Maanta Nahin!

Is Roshan going to be posted in Seattle? Wow. what a small world! Nasreen Apa's son, Farhan is also with MS in Seattle. In fact he and his fiancee are coming down to Calgary this weekend to visit me.Yes, Seattle is pretty close by. Nargis, Roshan can get in touch with Farhan for any help he needs.Just let me know and I'll send you his contact details.
*typo in my earlier comment-should read as tigery mood!!

Tas....

Hahaha...actually was wondering what 'tigery' meant... :-}Wow...you quoting Blake and all that. SVC ke students ka memory toh bahut achha hai!
Btw...Misha is still in Virginia and will be passing out in May. Recently he was in Seattle for two months doing his internship. But will be joining MS only next year. Definitely will ask him to get in touch with Farhan...:-} And like Faiyaz says even I requested Billy Boy to create a post in aamoro Bhubaneswar but kya karein Bill toh Pagal hai...;-}

Small world indeed, ya fir, BG's empire is big enuff to have such a Berhampuria connexion ;-)

My nephew (bhanaja i.e. bhaanja in Hindi ;-)) and his wife, both work for MS.

Visited them a couple of times in Seattle, went to Vancouver, and ferried to Victoria! I wanted to retire there, like in "The Lotus Eater".

Anecdotal - my boys, 8 & 10 then, who normally run around in their boxers "shamelessly" took on airs of behaving like "the men they are", simply by virtue of a Bhaabhi being around! I explained to my wife, its yet another guy thing ;-)

Hey Hilu....

Not the question of BG's empire being BIG enough...I guess the Berhampurias are smart enough to all land up there...;-}Great to know he's got so many connections to fall upon.
Btw..when he first joined Pilani, and everyone assumed he'd join the Tamilian group, he proudly enrolled himself in the Oriya one......When the guys started talking in Oriya he was absolutely clueless...:-{ 'Kimiti oriya hey' they said, 'langbhayj bhi jaani no'...and he says..'I was born in Berhampur'....Hahahahaha! So that's my proud Berhampur boy!

Nargis,

great pair ek sher ek sawa sher!

tass too made me feel nostalgic with the william blake quote. inspires me to quote few more lines:

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Also went thru your dream. It took about 45 years, after that great martin luther speech, for america to elect a black president. i hope your dream comes true quicker at least let it come when we are alive. it was a really emotional blog.

WOW.........kya poetry likhte the yeh Blake Shakes...
Btw...Arun, why don't you also start writing in Sulekha? I know Vim will run after me with a mace for trying to entice you but the thing is you write so beautifully and you don't have to do anything extra. The same thing you post here you can might as well just put it there. And the best part is Sulekha publishes books too. So if they are impressed with your blogs, you just might end up getting published. Recently two of our bloggers were chosen. I mostly write journaly type of stuff but if you have a series the chances are more. They keep having contests too. In fact you can post one now in the 'City Round Up Contest'with one of your Berhampuria blogs. Put in pics too for added effect. Just a suggestion...Give it a try. I'm a sucker for good writing and if more people read it all the better :-} Think about it...
