Hirakhand re gole ' Khondo' - khondo' hai jeebo ! That was the refrain in those days. Which hardly had a rake of seven bogies and people clustered inside like coconuts.

faiyaz,
i actually believe this must have happened!

i remember once a very animated story teller was narrating to my mom about how the family objection to two lovers led to a fight in which the boy was ultimately killed.

The numerous interjecting questions of mom were also being replied. My mom even asked where was he killed and he replied, "Bus stand ke paas mein".

Finally when mom said, "Ab berhampur safe naheen raha" did the storyteller reply innocently, " Iss mein aab berhampur kee safety ka sawaal kahan aayaa?"

After about 10 minutes of gruesome details mom was relieved to know that the whole thing was a story from a film that was screened in Jyoti talkies.
