Tricolour on the moon

Finally we did it!!!!!
India on Nov, 14th, 2008, became the fourth nation in the world, to have its flag flying on the Moon's surface, when Chandrayaan-1's Moon Impact Probe device, - which has the Indian Tricolour painted on it - touched down.
I was keeping my fingers crossed and praying that there was no hitch.
I don't know about you guys, since some of you have reservations about this venture... but I'm over the moon with delight. It sure is a historic and proud moment for India; In the fitness of things, it coincided with Pandit Nehru's birthday, since it was he who in 1962 laid the foundation for India’s space programme.
Keep it up India! Yeh dil maange more!! Next stop Mars!!!

of course we r proud though i do think that we should look earthward also ( at the hungry and iliiterate masses here ) but what the heck, the us of a also has its homeless and dispossesed. zhanda uncha rahe hamara- at this rate and if we curb our burgeoning population, can try 4 the developed hotspot.

Hey Tas....

I definitely proud to be Indian...Only problem, today I got to see the crater'ous' face of my mystical not so door ke 'chanda mama'. And I must say, it was not at all like I had imagined it to be in my childhood dreams :-{

Great achievement for us Indians!
Guys, a little off topic--do you remember staring up at the moon in 1969 when Appollo 11 landed there?
I remember many of my pals swearing they've been able to see the rocket making a 'hole in the moon'!!

Apollo 11...July 20th, 1969.
I remember how excited I was when Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the Moon. I heard the whole commentary over the radio and thereafter saw it in a movie hall where it was shown in the newsreel before a movie.
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." These words of Armstrong are etched in my memory.

Its your onerous task to go for the tomies... vasec and tubec and curb population. We bloggers will morally hold u responsible for the burgeoning population of India.. (Chinta na karo.. advice thoda ghee aur shakkar ke saath le lo !)

Tasneem

Rationalists say the Neil armstrong step on moon is a 'Big Hype ' An article I don't recall which captures illustrations ... super imposed pics of Neil and Edwin Aldrin on the moon.

Now is Chand .. Streeling ... or Puling... the gender is askance !
