Hi, sorry to be off this blog - the Pune Metro campaign against the disastrously planned metro for the city ate up my mind and thoughts. On July 17th, I organised the 3rd Prakash Kardaley Memorial Lecture in memory of a stalwart journalist and RTI activist of the country and my guru in journalism. Vinita Kamte spoke on `RTI: My experience' and Magsaysay awardee for RTI, Arvind Kejriwal spoke on `RTI and threat to whistleblowers.' The hall was packed to capacity and I got several sms-es and email saying that the evening was an ``uplifting experience' as both spoke so inspiringly. A couple of pics for your eyes, cheers and warm rgds, vinita

Great job. I have heard Arvind Kejriwal speak on RTI. Too bad it does not cover the Private Sector.

Tks a ton. Yes it does not cover the private sector but if the funding from the govt is ``substantial'' then the private body comes under the Act!
