You seem to have quite a collection of old photographs, Tas...! Just a suggestion: It would be ideal if you could just go to a next door photo studio and ask them to scan this image for you... tell them that you want to print it in A4 size... In this case we can preserve this priceless image better... and of course post it on the blog once again but a bit larger and clearer...
