Hi folks,,,am towrads the last leg of my voyage,,as i plan to get down in Brisbane,,,,a good 13 days voyage from our last port in Malaysia.
enroute,,,we were lucky enough ,,,,in fact passing by precisely,,separated by just the thin strip of land called Indonesia,,,with its hundreds miniature islands...when nature was venting its fury ,,,with a blend of Tsunami and the erupting Volcano,,,Indonesia being in the Pacific Ring Of Fire........
Death n destruction on one side,,,,,,and the pristine and calm tropical waters of the Flores Sea which we r transitting at present....the ships bow actually slicing throo the waters...leaving a straight lined wake.....
passed beutiful tiny islands with dazzling white beaches and also a actual small dormant volcanic mountain called MOUNT .......
Vimal,,,even i have turned a copy cat,,,trying to let u all catch a glimpse of what i have been savouring all this time....
hello,,hello,,,we also had our share of wet wet ,,dark,,grey days,,,am just hoping that we manage to cross the glorious Torres Sts during the day,,,and catch the dolphins too...
hey,,we even chased a rainbow,,trying to reach for the fabled pot of gold!!!!!!

Beware, the siren of the seas beckons ---how wonderful and tempting the seas appear --and how it stretches forth from here to eternity.........
I wonder how many have left their land jobs and are queing up before sailing ships to catch the first voyage out......as for me, I have wax in my ears, her siren song does not reach me yet....
So it's not like 'water water everywhere'.......:-}
Our very own Coleridge aka siren of the seas has given us a whole new perception of the sailor....
LOVED IT!!
Keep posting more....:-}

Amateur Aashu turns Professional - The Shots are simply Amazing!!!
The only thing missing was the Albatross. I hope plenty of them come when you come near to the port.
Hey Aashu, after Brisbane, pl don't leave your camera behind on the ship.
The shots evoked deep nostalgia. Have spent 04 yrs at sea, of course at different times.
A favourite moment - schools (or shoals?) of flying fish taking off near the bow of my ship and flying alongside us for a mile before diving back in. Veritably, a silvery cloud!!
Another - me standing on the quarterdeck (at the aft) at 02 am on a moonlit night, three ships sailing in parallel, with no lights except for the red and green navigation lights and the vast shimmering sea. Wondering if I am watching the stars or they, me.
I used to always think how boring it would be to sail days together in the sea with only water everywhere...but after looking at these beautiful pictures and reading Debnath's comment I totally changed my opinion.
Amazing pictures Ashu, makes me want to start working on completing my dream of going on a cruise, :))
