Seetha... Technically this is not macro but cropping. For macro, the image on the sensor / film should be either 1:1 or 1:2... or so. You may call these images close-up shots. If you are using a digital compact or a bridge camera then you can go as close as 1~2 inches. In case of a DSLR you may have to buy additional lenses.
