Good one Fai!
Actually I had promised Arun that I would take him around VT and the Fort market in Mumbai one of these days but somehow it got postponed till we met once again last Saturday. I had a meeting to attend in the morning that carried on till about 3.30PM and we had planned earlier in the day that we would meet much before noon. So i thought even this plan of ours would get fired. Anyway, we finally met once again. It was great spending time with him. We went near Crawford market first. Had Falooda at Badshah (Tas / Nargis: Been there?). Then we got into the narrow lanes where you have the stationery market, household goods, Zaveri bazar, the cloth market etc...
Eventually we landed up at Marine Drive while the sun was still partially above the horizon. It was great spending time with him. We remembered each one of you, we discussed how the blog could be taken further... One thing that Arun mentioned about is how Comments on a post and comments on a comment mattered. Comments are as important as a main post. It encourages one to take another step further - so very true!! Right? So folks, even if your comments turn out to be a brief one, just go ahead and post! And please do go back to the the various comments under each post often as you never know you may find something interesting to read or comment upon!

Oooh Badshah...The first time I went there was in 1985 when we were training in VT & CCG. Loved the tall pink glasses of ambrosia speckled with slippery seeds.
When we first set up house after getting married we bought a whole lot of stuff from these gallis near Crawford. Pretty inexpensive stuff but good quality. It used to be very crowded then.
We stayed a stone's throw from Marine Drive in Churchgate. Used to take our babies in their prams for a stroll on MD and have narial pani. We never missed a single Dandia, Christmas or New year Ball at CCI during our stay in Mumbai, nor the Annual Naval Ball in the US Club. Bombay in the 80s was a fun place to live in...more so since our house and office were nearby and we didn't have to commute.
Nice shot of Arun against the evening sky... looks like there was low tide. Once during high tide (floods) Jason & I had gone to MD to see the scene. You won't believe, the waves were lashing on to the other side of the road almost against the walls of the buildings. Frightening sight that was.
Writing a new post instead of a new comment is a pretty good suggestion, which lazy people like me should heed to. Its so much easier to comment than going into the whole process of writing afresh.XD! lol!

Arun

on the rocks ! And no 'Bisleri'. Why you have the brackish Arabian sea to get along ! Nature's bounty !

'Mardan ke paanv tale dharti phisal rahi hai ' Arun be careful on the rocks !

Scooting along or should I say ' Car-ing' with Vimal will make you as frigid as his Falooda's , icecreams, tangy flavoured drinks.

Arun your growth is getting stunted ! The day I meet u at Mumbai, you are bound to offer me a Falooda ! Yikes !
