In due deference to the wishes of the blogmaster and Tasneem, here are the photos. Nisha, our elder daughter (in blue) is now working in TCS Bangalore after her BE last year. Shipra, the younger one is in the third year of Law School at National Law University, Jodhpur. So its just Namita and me at Bhubaneswar.
This has been an overwhelming experience for me since I am hearing from most of you after a gap of more than 38 years. Faiyaz, it was great to remnisce about Berhampur. Your memory for colours is fantastic. I still remember going for the football matches in Khallikote College Stadium along with Devdutt in the " All India Faiyaz Memorial Shield Football Tournament" and you claiming that it was named after you, skipping 2 generations. Yes ,we did speak to each other briefly, in 2008 after I met your brother in law and quite coincidentally discovered your connection. By the way, he was extremely helpful to us in recovering some old dues for the State Government. Incidentally, I am also a Deccan Chargers fan because of the Pragyan Ojha factor.
Stanley, good to hear from you after almost a decade. I still remember our meetings in Bhubaneswar and Kolkata. There is hardly any fresh insight to give from my present posting as we are busy trying to out-manoeuvre the Naxals who are giving us a tough time. NRK, good to hear from you. I remember going to your house with Devdutt. The picture you posted last year was fantastic. It must have been a photo of Class 3, in 1966. I remember Gouri Mishra, who was the only one who knew cycling in Class 3, which was quite something for the rest of us.
Seetha, sorry for the confusion about dates. We were very much in the same class. I finished Class 8 in December 1971 but joined the Central School in Class 9 later ( late starting of session)after taking my TC in early 1972.
Tasneem, good to know that you are back in India. Where are you likely to be posted?
Arun, I think this has established that I am not a one blog wonder, but I don't think I will be as regular as the rest of you.
Rajalakshmi, good to hear from you.

Aditya, thats a great family debut- and you have your memory serving you right --you even remember which year you took your TC ....
Let's meet up in case you come to Bangalore.
Hey Bablu. Great seeing pics of you & your family. You were a plump kid & now you are trim. With me it is the other way round!Ask Fai:)
I'm the Chief Claims Officer/ Southern Rlys and posted in Chennai. Family is in Bangalore. Please do let us know if there is anything we could do for your daughter who is in Bangalore. I remember taking rides in your Dad's car...one had to enter it from the front.
Remember the fierce competition we used to have for the first rank...somehow all of us always seemed to land up in the same section! Fai was the naughty brat, Debnath was the quiet one with mischief lurking in his eyes, Pappu was adorable, Devdutt was very propah, Sancheyta was the tomboy.
Guess what folks, the other day at an IRTS do in Delhi, I met Bharati Panda, the elder sis of Reena Panda. Bharati's husband is posted in the Railway Board in Delhi. A real small world isn't it? Bharati is just the same as before. It was a pleasure touching base with her after so many years.
I'm making the most of my time in Chennai..quite like the city... seems to be growing on me!
Beautiful family... Thanx for sharing.
Very nice of you Bablu - Your family is great and I found their names simply uncommon and amazing!
After I left nothing has changed except the Names - Brahmapore/Odissha/Kolkatta/Mumbai/Chennai/Bengaluru!!
I don't want to embarrass you but distinctly remember, You used to have a beauty spot just above your lip - No longer visible with the macho moustache!
We've done some combined studies as well some GK Quiz preparation along with Devdutt. He used to always hum a song 'Bhoji Khayeele boddo moja rey' Good old times, or should I say good young times!
Great to have you on board!
Hi Aditya.....
I don't think I've met you before but since you are stationed in Bhubaneswar I think we should meet up when Faiyaz is here next. Especially since you claim that my brother's brother-in-law is known to you ...hehehehe:-}
Tasneem.....guess what? I met Bharti when we were posted in Cal. In fact we had a lovely time out there meeting almost every evening to play Boggle and Pictionary...Her elder brother Baidya was my classmate....:-}
Your dad rings a bell but not you ;-)
At any rate, welcome to the Vimal's blogland, the great time filler-upper.
Nice family pics!
Hi Aditya - lovely family! Hats off to your fantastic memory!! You are right- the school photo was indeed taken in 1966 in class three.BTW when I posted the photo no one remembered Gouri Mishra.Gouri was with me at Stewarts School, Cuttack and is now at SAIL(Rourkela). I am posted at Kolkata working in SAIL. I keep going to Paradeep via BBSR sometimes and we can plan to meet then
Good to see you and you family on the blog.

Hey Aditya, terrific family pic. After seeing your picture I can recollect what you looked like back then.
Hai Aditya u look almost same after so many summers...n a wonderful family.
Good family pics. I guess its gr8 reconnecting with so many after so many years. The common thread being SVC Berhampur, with some of us still being rooted to the place, its amazingly soothing to sink in the memories of our happy and carefree good ole days. Hope we all continue to blog in always.
